Indian Government e-Visa Fee:
An Indian government e-visa fee refers to the total amount of charge which applicants have to pay to Immigration Department of this country in order to process their electronic visa. This charge is the responsibility of any applicants to obtain travel approval. Starting from April 2019, the government divided India e-Visa into several categories. In these categories, you are able to see types of e-visa available, its fees, and countries included in each category.
Indian e-Tourist Visa (eTV) comes in four categories. The first category is 30-days e-TV which is valid for 30 days. This category offers two different entries. You can either choose an entry from April to June or July to March. The next category is a 01-year e-TV that is valid for 365 days>. It is counted from the granted date and is available for multiple entries. The other category is 05-years e-TV that are valid for 5 years starting from the granted date and are eligible for multiple entries.
The amount of government fee for Indian e-Tourist visa:
How much tourist visa fee that has to be paid is different from one country to another. Indian government has made groups of countries based on the number of government fees they need to pay for e-TV.
The first group consists of Argentina, Cook Islands, Fiji, Jamaica, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Nauru, Niue Island, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uruguay, and Vanuatu. These 20 countries in this group don’t need to pay anything for Indian e-Tourist Visa application. It means 0 dollars needed if they want to apply for 30-days e-TV with both entries, 01-year e-TV, and 05-year e-TV.
The second group includes Japan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. These three countries need to pay $10 for 30-days e-TV (April to June), $35 for 30-days e-TV (July to March), $35 for 01-year e-TV, and $65 for 05-year e-TV.

The amount of government fee for Indian e-Business, e-Medical Attendant, and e-Conference:
Similar to e-Tourist Visa, Indian government has made groups of countries based on the amount of government fee they need to pay for a Indian business visa, Indian medical visa, Indian medical attendance visa, and Indian conference visa.

Indian Visa Service Fee:
India visa service fee refers to the amount of money that applicants need to pay before processing e-visa, it is the time when you fill the Indian visa application on the available website. This India service fee includes document checking and verification conducted by the officer. Not mention about decision making in approving or rejecting your visa application. However, for the applicants, the service begins when you are filling the online form that asks for your personal information, related documents uploads for each requirement, paying the visa fee, and expecting the feedback from the officer.
As the whole steps of Indian visa application process are conducted online, applicants are not able to pay the visa service in cash. Instead, they need to use their credit or debit card and PayPal. Hence, it is important to check that payment cards owned are acceptable.
Each Indian Visa comes with a different service fee. The government has broken down the payment for each person. To apply for an Indian Tourist visa, each person has to pay service fee for $35. The amount of service fee for Indian business visa, Indian medical visa, Indian Conference visa and medical attendant visa are similar which is $45 for each person.
Additional fee:
Applying for Indian e-Visa sometimes also requires you to pay an additional fee. If you apply for an urgent India visa, you have to pay a more expensive fee because the government puts it as a first priority. Urgent visa will be processed around 1 to 3 days so that you will get it faster than the normal ones. For this service, you are required to pay for $79 each person.
The processing time for e-visa depends on the types of visa you apply. The urgent visa like what has been mentioned requires within 1 to 3 days to be processed. Meanwhile, the normal visa needs to wait for around 3 to 5 business days. Please note that processing time begins after Indian visa fee has been paid.
